Try cooking simple dish:-
Start from simple breakfast to complex dinner

Do all the chopping and washing in advance
Marinate ahead of time
-Well organized kitchen will make a better chef ;)
Get a nice apron:-
No harm to reward yourself a set of nice gear to start out with
Can't cook good at least must look good. Lol
Take photos after cooking:-
Presentation is important even the food tastes bad
Post it on fb or any social network so as to motivate you to harder
