Before the "almost goddess hot-mama" gang takes off for Bangkok, Thailand, to attend Thai cooking classes, here's a Korean style signature dish for everyone before you start missing me. Haha! Clap for me please! Let's do the gangnam style! Shake shake butt!
A little background about bibimbap.
Bibimbap literally means mixed rice be it white rice or brown rice, it is prepared with assorted sautéed seasoned vegetables and beef with raw or fried egg on top with hot pepper chili paste known as "Gojuchang". It is then stirred thoroughly into a big pile of mess mixing egg yolk, hot paste n soya sauce into the rice n vegetables before eating. I suggest those who can't eat spicy food to skip the paste and add some tomato sauce or ketchup. I do that for my daughter who simply can't take anything spicy. This dish was first introduced by my korean sis-in-law, was helping her out at the kitchen when I was amazed by how easily the dish was prepared and how wonderful it tasted. Superb healthy for those gym freaks like me and for vegetarian who can also omit the meat from this dish. You may like to prepare bigger portions of sauteed vegetables and mushroom to fridge overnite for tomorrow hubby's lunchbox. Be a good wife or girlfriend! Just add a fresh bowl of rice with chilled ingredients without heating up(exclude meat), tastes equally good with that Gojuchang paste. The only hassle is the preparation part, otherwise it is easy peasy. So pls enjoy!
