Salmon steak prepared in black bean sauce

Currently serving a one week"jail" sentence at home waiting to be called out for duty. Plsss——— fly me off to anywhere just anywhere near!!! Would be better if they can fly me to Singapore my hometown where I can indulge myself to an atas( high-end) high tea session in some good hotels or to Taipei which is an easy peasy flight! Or anyone who can whisk me away to a spa that provides good massages or proper facial to fix my aging face now that I turned 3* . Felt utterly helpless walking around my small house, waiting for that cordless phone to ring, will spend the unbearable never ending draggy hours at the kitchen helping out! Rather to die getting busy with something than to die of a heart attack from the phone!

There is a different way of cooking salmon steak you may like to try out if  you possess a good blender at home. Get a few slices of young ginger and a few gloves of garlic, blend them together with some cooking oil. Spread a teaspoon of the mixture on each salmon steak, add the usual black bean sauce with a little japanese light soy sauce. Steam and garnish with spring onions and coriander. Reason why I did not try to cook the mentioned is cuz I am still waiting to get a blender when my next pay cheque comes in. Yup, poor me! If you are as poor as me or you want a hassle free meal, here's the simple version.

You need:

  • one or two salmon steaks
  • black bean sauce as shown (any brand)
  • salted butter
  • minced spring onion
  • coriander

How to cook:
  1. Wash salmon steaks
  2. Add half tsp of butter on top
  3. Spread a tsp full of black bean sauce on each steak
  4. Steam for 15 minutes
  5. Sprinkle spring onions and steam for two minutes
  6. Garnish with coriander and serve
